Digital connection method for TDM communications system

摘要

The method involves converting time slots of incoming lines into time slots for outgoing lines using a switching stage. The switching stage consists of partial switching stages with a greater number of inputs than outputs. The inputs are associated with memory cells which have an overall capacity of less than the required capacity for the maximum sum of the information provided by all incoming lines, for temporary storage of the information to be supplied to the outgoing lines. The overall capacity is divided into information storage blocks which consists of several memory cells. The storage blocks are dynamically allocated to the input lines.
