The bearing cleaning unit consists of a mandrel to which the inside diameter of the bearing is held, a rotation unit holding the outer diameter and a hand operated crank to rotate the bearing inside a container of chemical cleaning fluid. The mandrel (2) has an O-ring (5) which holds the inner diameter of a bearing (1) and is held in a support (3) which is prevented from rotating by a key (6). A spring (4) applies pressure to hold each mandrel against an O-ring (8) on a drive disc (7), mounted on a drive shaft (9) rotating in a bearing (10) by a crank arm (13). Mandrel supports (3) are attached to the base plate (11) so that the bearing (1) outer races contact the O-ring (8) on the drive disc. The whole assembly is placed in a cleaning solution bath (14) and the bearings rotated manually or by means of an electric motor.
