Monitoring function throttle flap of IC engine

The procedure for monitoring the function of an induction pipe flap for changing over the induction pipe of an internal combustion engine has the following steps. (a) the induction pressure is measured on the basis of the speed, measured by a device to do this, as well as of the air mass flow for at least two different induction pipe flap positions, measured by a device to do this, and simultaneously to this by a device to measure pressure. (b) the differences of the calculated and measured induction pressures are formed for the different induction pipe flap positions. They are evaluated for a diagnosis of the induction flap.
