Injection moulding process for short runs of plastic mouldings

In a process for injection moulding short runs of a plastic component: (a) a negative upper and lower formers are produced by a layering process from computer data of the final component; (b) a material suitable for withstanding injection moulding conditions is cast into both negative formers to create positive upper and lower mould halves used as an injection tool for the component.
