Cleaning loose mineral material

To clean loose mineral solid materials, especially gravel and sand, the material (3) is passed to a working tank (4) filled with a medium (5) which carries high power pulses (14) from the spark discharges at an electrode assembly (12) in the working zone, to act on the material (3). The electrode assembly (12) is over the conveyor (6) moving the material (3), and parallel to it, within the working medium (5). The high power pulses (14) act as shock waves with push and pull forces on the material surfaces. They break the clinging bonds between the material (3.1) to be cleaned and the impurities (3.2) within the working tank (4). The separated impurities (3.2) are extracted.
