摘要 A method for microsuspension polymerisation of vinyl chloride in an aqueous phase, in the presence of dispersants and radical-forming compounds, is carried out in a reactor (15) that has a height (H) to diameter (D) ratio greater than or equal to 2. A heat exchanger (16) is provided on the outside or inside of the reactor in order to heat the reaction mixture to the polymerisation temperature, or to cool the mixture during polymerisation. Water is supplied to the heat exchanger from a pump-driven cycle (18). For cooling the mixture during polymerisation, cooling water is supplied to the top third of the heat exchanger, from where the water flows downwards to an outlet in the bottom third of the heat exchanger. Also claimed is the reactor arrangement used in this method.
