electrical drive system and motion control

The drive system has an electric motor 1 that is coupled to a controller 3 that has a microcomputer 5 , an application specific switching circuit 6, output drive stage 7 and an input interface 8. The interface connects the controller to the onboard network of the road vehicle. The speed of the motor is controlled using feedback signals from a sensor and by applying pulse width modulation to the windings.
