The cover element (1), made of plastic or light metal, covers the space on top (19a,b,c,d) and alongside right (3b) and left (3a) of several adjoining letter boxes (3). It can be made either level with the surface of the letter boxes (3) (invisible on the outside (4)) or shaped as a frame (12) forming a decorative element surrounding the letter boxes (3).
