Active sound absorption system for e.g. ventilation ducts

The sound absorption system splits a large ducts into smaller single ducts. A control unit operates in groups the acoustic transducers of several single ducts via an amplifier. Preferably, the control unit operates all acoustic transducers of the single ducts. Microphones or microphone arrays are provided before the splitting. The microphones may be provided in the single ducts.
