The device (1) monitors the level of stock of a product (4) contained in a reservoir (3). It comprises a stock level measuring device (9), a central unit (30) for using the measured level and a memory (36) for recording at least one threshold level. It also has a comparing device (34), for comparing the value provided by the central unit with the threshold, a means (38) of tripping a refilling command, controlled by this device and a transmitter (44) for sending the refilling command to a refilling centre (42). Also included is a receiver (46) which receives at least one piece of information released by the refilling centre in response to the transmission of the refilling command, and a display unit (49) with a zone (66) displaying information from the refilling centre. Also claimed is a storage reservoir with such a device (1).
