A door for a motor vehicle is manufactured using a window frame module (1) comprising a window frame (2), a window frame surround (3) fastened on the inside of the door, and a sealing module (4). The frame consists of two light metal, pressure die-cast side parts (7,8), connected by a curved section (9) formed from a light metal extrusion or stamped part. A two-part light metal section connects the side parts and acts as reinforcement for the window case. The one-part sealing module comprises window guide seals (16-18) around the side parts and the connecting curved section and window case seals (19, 20) are provided adjacent to the reinforcing section.
