The support element (10') for cold crimping cable fittings, consists of at least one hollow body with axial symmetry, which holds the fitting (26) in an expanded condition. The material of the support element is designed with a heat crimping material. The support element is designed cylindrically or conically in shape. The support element (10') consists of two hollow bodies with axial symmetry which are connectable with each other shape locked or force locked. The surface running in the direction to its connecting point (14), tapers conically. The smallest internal diameter of the support element is larger than the outer diameter of shrunk or crimped fitting (26).
