The access control system is provided for access to equipment that is maintained within a secured store. A typical application can be for the storage of medical equipment. Access to the store is controlled by some form of key that can be a data card, which is attached to the equipment. Information is exchanged with a computer and removal of specific items involves a second code key for identification.
