The present invention provides a method for confirming the presence or absence of a gene resistant to hop, which is a most important factor for determining beer-spoilage ability of lactic acid bacteria, and for foreseeing ra pidly the beer-spoilage of lactic acid bacteria, by using particular oligonucleotides and a judgment method utilizing them. Oligonucleotides for judging beer-spoilage abili ty of lactic acid bacteria, characterized in that they have a part of the nucleotid e sequence or the whole nucleotide sequence described in a sequence listing or the y have the corresponding complementary sequence, and a judgement method utilizing them.
