Pipe switch for twin-cylinder viscous fluid pumps

The pipe switch has a swivel tube (36) and self-adjusting wear ring (38). The wear ring has a centring part (46) and sealing part (54). The swivel tube and sealing part have facing axially separated ring faces (56,58) which both include an acute angle (beta) with a radial plane (60) diverging from the centring face (42) out towards opposite sides towards the inside of the pipe. The two ring faces can include an angle of 25 to 60 degrees with the common radial plane. The ring face of the swivel tube or of the wear ring can be formed by a wedge ring which can be fitted on the relevant part.
