PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an amount of the surfactant remaining in the toner and adverse effects on environmental dependence, development and transfer characteristics, and fixability and the like by incorporating a decomposable surfactant in a dispersion liquid containing dispersed particles including resin particles and decomposing the surfactant after heating and fusing. SOLUTION: This electrostatic charge image developing toner is manufactured by 2 processes comprising a process for coagulating particles including at least the resin particles dispersed in the dispersion liquid and a process for heating the coagulated particles and fusing them. This dispersion liquid contains the decomposable surfactant, and this surfactant is decomposed after heating and fusion. The decomposable surfactant can be embodied by sulfate ester type surfactants, especially, higher alcohol sulfate ester salt type, such as lauryl sulfate sodium salt, and the like. It is preferred that at least further one process for additionally mixing a particle dispersion liquid with the dispersion liquid may be included after the particles coagulating process and before the fusing process. |
