PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output audio data, even when image data are frozen in an MPEG decoder or the like and to synchronize image data with audio data immediately after releasing freezing. SOLUTION: A 3rd output buffer region 8D of a memory 8 is used to freeze dynamic image data and to conduct consecutive output of the dynamic image data, a 1st output buffer area 8B and a 2nd output buffer area 8C are used to decode I and P pictures in a data stream of a moving image received during freezing. Furthermore, decoding is conducted for audio data streams, while keeping synchronization with the moving image. Since the decoded I and P pictures are stored in the 1st output buffer region 8B and the 2nd output buffer region 8C, the image data are outputted synchronously with the audio data immediately after freezing has been released. |
