PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease vibration in an early stage of intermittent dewatering for a washing machine. SOLUTION: A dewatering control method comprises an initial dewatering stage in which a power supply voltage is applied to a motor for advancing the initial dewatering for a period of preset time depending on the amount of clothes placed in a washing machine, an intermediate dewatering stage in which an intermediate dewatering advances by applying a power supply voltage phase-controlled by an already set phase angle to the motor depending on the amount of clothes to be washed and placed in the washing machine, and a main dewatering stage which advances the main dewatering for a predetermined period of time by applying a power source voltage to the motor. The intermittent dewatering is advanced by applying the power supply phase-controlled by the phase angle determined based on the amount of clothes placed in the machine. By doing this, RPM (revolution per minute) gradually increases without stopping the motor, so that the vibration which otherwise occurs in the washing container in the early stage of the intermittent dewatering of the washing machine can be decreased, thereby extending the operation life of a clutch. |
