PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starting method of a permanent magnet synchronous motor by which the motor can be turned in an intended direction without carrying the polarity. SOLUTION: At the time of operation start, a pole detection command generating unit 36 switches command signals supplied to a speed control loop and a current control loop to an arbitrary low frequency angle signal AI and a speed signal SI from a speed command generating unit 37 to start operation. If an angle correction unit 40 judges that the rotor of a synchronous motor is turned in a reverse direction, a phase correction output is outputted to the speed command generating unit and a phase angle is corrected so as to make the value of the output of a speed detector positive until a C-shape pulse is detected. |
