PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output irradiation light, with which both a bar code near a read port and a bar code away from the read port can be surely read, irradiated and recognized for an operator as well, without expansion or cost-up concerning a large depth bar code reader. SOLUTION: Irradiation light 1 emitted from an emission plane 54a on a 1st lens part 30a of lens 30 for bar code irradiation is not spread. Therefore, since the irradiation light L1 is not almost spread even at the position of bar code away from a read port 22 of bar code reader 4 for several 10 cm, the operator of bar code reader 4 can recognize it as the line of red light and can exactly aim at the distant bar code. Irradiation light L2 emitted from an emission plane 54b on a 2nd lens part 30b is gradually spread and since that light is spread over all at the part of read port 22, the bar code near the read port 22 can be surely read. Further, since a light source is not increased, expansion or cost-up is not invited. |
