PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a 3-dimension sound field which provides a grandiose sense with consistency, to provide a video image for viewers in the entire viewing area, while conversations are concentrated on a video screen as well as to form a sound field with realism and presence. SOLUTION: This system 10 reproduces sound (especially, sounds based on a stereo signal including conversations accompanying video image) with realism. The system 10 is placed in the vicinity of a video image and has a front middle loudspeaker 20, that outputs an acoustic output based on a sum signal of left/ right channel components of an audio signal. A rear speaker 26 is placed behind an audio-visual area and provides an outputs of an acoustic output, based on a difference signal (L-R) or (R-L) of the left and right channels. Left/right satellite speakers 22, 24 are placed respectively to the left/right of the audio-visual area. The left right satellite speakers 22, 24 respectively reproduce the audio signal for left/right channels. |
