<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent contact characteristics with an insulating film, etc., at the etching end part of a lower-layer wire and sufficient step coverage, to satisfy the adhesive strength with a substrate, and to improve the reliability by preventing an upperlayer wire from being broken and short-circuiting with the lowerlayer wire. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device has wires in laminate structure formed by forming a 1st layer 2A of a 1st metal layer and a 2nd layer 2B of a 2nd metal layer different from the 1st metal layer on an insulating substrate 1; and the side end surface of the 1st layer 2A is tapered forward and the side end surface of the 2nd layer 2B is in a shape perpendicular to the substrate surface or in an reversely tapered shape.</p> |
