PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily heat an object to be heated by placing the object in rotating electric field with a constant strength. SOLUTION: A first magnetron 1 is attached to an H-surface wall 9 at one end of the first wave guide 3 in the longitudinal direction, and a second magnetron 2 is attached to an H-surface wall 10 at one end of the second wave guide 4 in the longitudinal direction. Both the other ends are connected together so that both the H-surfaces are perpendicular to each other at the end opposite to the side where the first magnetron of the first wave guide is provided. A high-frequency heating device is composed of the second wave guide 4 with a wave length difference ofλg/4 from that of the first wave guide, a magnetron drive control device 5 placed in an area surrounded by the first wave guide and the second wave guide, a heating chamber 6 formed at a connecting part between the first wave guide and the second wave guide, an opening 7 provided in a guide wall of the connecting part between the first wave guide and the second wave guide to put an object to in and out be heated and a door 8 to cover the opening, so that it can be freely opened and closed. Thereby, the object to be heated can be heated satisfactorily by a rotating electric field.
