PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the occupied volume of an electrode terminal so as to effectively utilize the space inside of a battery, and to eliminate welding so as to simplify the process, and to prevent the generation of internal short-circuit by fitting an electrode terminal, which is projected upward from an electrode group inside of a short cylindrical or a long cylindrical battery case having a bottom, in a female type electrode terminal, which is projected downward from a sealing structural body of an opening part, so as to obtain the electrical continuity. SOLUTION: A flat plate-like positive and a negative electrode terminals 21A, 22A are projected upward from an electrode group 2, which is formed of a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a separator and which is housed with the electrolyte in a battery case 1A. They are fitted in a female electrode terminal 33A-1, 2 of a clip structure projected downward from a cover plate 31 for insulating a positive electrode terminal 32, which is arranged at a central part of the sealing structural body 3A, and a gasket 34. The positive electrode terminal and the negative electrode terminal 21A, 22A are formed into a needle shape, and the female type electrode terminals 33A-1, 2 are formed into a cylindrical shape having an inner diameter smaller than the diameter of the positive and the negative electrode terminals, and a tip thereof is desirably divided into 2-8 pieces with an equal space, and both thereby, securely contact with each other. It is unnecessary to form an electrode terminal long like in a welding method. |
