PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To omit labor for secondary machining and to surely carry out locking by forming the lower face of a nut into a slanting face tilted at a predetemtined angle. SOLUTION: A screw hole 1 penetrating a shaft center is arranged in a nut 2. The outer circumference of the nut 2 is formed into a hexagon. A fastening bearing surface, that is, the lower face of the nut 2 is formed into a slanting face 3 gently tilted in one direction. An inclination angleαof the slanting face 3 is set within an angle range which allows absorption of a clearance in an engaging part between a bolt and the nut 2 by means of a small inclination of the nut 2 and, at the same time, allows tight contact of the slanting face 3 of the nut 2 with the upper face of a fastened member when the nut 2 is fastened with predetermined torque. The inclination angleαdiffers according to a size, a grade, or material of the nut 2, however, for example, an angle of 1.5-2.5 degrees is desirable for an iron nut of M12 in the second grade.
