PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve processing speed and further to improve control speed by replacing the interaction of the respective parts of an image forming device with a membership function, treating it as fuzzy information and more appropriately controlling the image forming device based on the fuzzy information. SOLUTION: Every kind of sensor 100 installed inside a copying machine detects a physical quantity concerning the surface potential 101 of a photoreceptor, original surface illuminance 102, exposure surface illuminance 103 and the residual potential 104 on the photoreceptor, for example, and outputs the analog information value of the physical quantity to an analog input/fuzzy arithmetic operation numerical value output converter 108. The converter 108 converts the variation of a unit corresponding to every kind of sensor 100 to a numerical value appropriate for input to a fuzzy arithmetically processing unit 110. The numerical value output for fuzzy arithmetic operation is inputted in the unit 110. The unit 110 performs the arithmetic processing of the membership function corresponding to the numerical value output for fuzzy arithemetic operation and the membership function corresponding to a desired state signal from an operation part 109, and outputs the output corresponding to every kind of control object 112 to an MPU 111 for control. |
