PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the device to have correspondence for a copy request quickly by allowing the device to have an operation control means that changes a print operation into a copy operation at a prescribed timing upon the receipt of a copy request during the print operation. SOLUTION: Since a printer is provided with both a reader controller 106 and a printer controller 2103, there is the possibility of simultaneous occurrence of output requests from both the controllers. For example, this is the case that the user coming to the printer desires copying and operates the reader controller 106 while the printer controller 2103 executes a printer output. The printer has an interrupt output function in preparation for the case above. That is, based on preset output priority, the printer permits an interrupt output for a job having higher priority than that of an output job by interrupting tentatively the job during execution. |
