METHOD FOR DECOMPOSING PCB AND APPARATUS FOR DECOMPOSING PCB

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for decomposing PCB which can decompose PCB at high efficiency. SOLUTION: This apparatus for decomposing PCB comprises a PCB extraction container 1 to extract PCB from a PCB-containing material by an organic solvent. A distillation tower 2 in the downstream side of the PCB extraction container 1 distills the resultant organic solvent and separates PCB. A primary reactor 160 in the downstream side of the distillation tower 2 comprises a nozzle to supply an aqueous Na2 CO3 solution 12 and a nozzle 162 to supply an oxidizing agent in a container. A liquid cyclone 164 in the downstream side of the primary reactor 160 can remove Na2 CO3 with large particle size. The liquid cyclone 164 is connected with a secondary reactor 165 comprising a long pipe. A gas-water separator 21 installed in further downstream side of the secondary reactor 165 can separate a gas from an aqueous solution. A membrane separation apparatus 31 separates treated water 22 into purified water and a concentrated liquid and the purified water is supplied as water 33 for circulation to the upstream side of a pneumatic pump 13.
