WATER-STABLE TYPE L-ASCORBIC ACID DERIVATIVE, ITS PRODUCTION AND BEAUTIFYING AND WHITENING COSMETIC COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a new compound, simultaneously having suppressing effects on melanogenesis and delaying effects on skin aging of 3-aminopropane phosphate and useful as a beautifying and whitening cosmetic. SOLUTION: This water-stable type 2-(3-aminopropane phosphate) L-ascorbate is represented by formula I or its salt. The compound represented by formula I is obtained by reacting a 2-chlorotetrahydro-2H-1,3,2-oxaazaphospholine P-oxide represented by formula II with L-ascorbic acid having the protected 5,6 hydroxyl groups in the presence of a base, providing an L-ascorbic acid derivative represented by formula III and then hydrolyzing the resultant derivative represented by formula III. The compound represented by formula II is produced by reacting 3-amino-1-propanol with phosphorus oxychloride. The ascorbic acid derivative is excellent in stability without causing discoloration and deterioration in potency by oxidation in an aqueous-phase base and further excellent in water solubility without causing a precipitating phenomenon and skin irritation.
