PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically change ruled lines, character positions and size in a document by changing the meaning of a specific mark display indicating a document selection state, e.g. a pattern of the positions of marks and the number of marks. SOLUTION: In the case of changing the size of the whole document, marks are put on eight positions corresponding to the four corners of the document to be changed at its size and the centers of four sides of the document. When marks are stuck to the centers 405 to 408 of four sides, i.e., the centers of the upper, left, lower, and right sides, in addition to the four corners 401 to 404 of the frame of the document, i.e., the upper left corner, upper right corner, lower left corner, and lower right corner of the document for instance, the selected state of the whole document is defined. Then any one of the four corners of the document to be changed at its size is moved to a mouse pointer 501 and a mouse is dragged so as to click a mouse button or include the whole document. Consequently the whole document can be turned to the selected state, so that the size of the whole document can be collectively changed without generating breakage in the document. |
