PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image receiver from which no overflow of a reception buffer memory is produced, even when image data whose transmission frame stores no information on a synchronization signal is received. SOLUTION: A decoder 115 that decodes image compression coding data is provided with an image frame number register 116, that stores an image frame number in the coded data and with a frame memory read pointer register 117 that stores a frame memory read pointer storing a reproduced image. Then a VCXO control voltage generating means 121, that discriminates a lag or a lead of a receiver side sampling clock frequency with respect to a transmitter side, based on number of times of updating two values for adjusting a control voltage of a VCXO 122 automatically adjusts the receiver side oversampling clock so as to avoid the reception buffer from an overflow. |
