PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin compd. which enables a pigment to be finely dispersed therein by incorporating a compd. capable of bonding to a metal into a mixture at least comprising a resin and a pigment contg. a polyvalent metal as an impurity under mechanical shearing force. SOLUTION: Since a compd. capable of bonding to a metal is incorporated during kneading and bonds preferentially to a polyvalent metal contained in a pigment as an impurity, the polyvalent metal is shielded and defective dispersion and gelation are prevented from occurring. Defective dispersion is prevented by jointly using an org. solvent (e.g. acetylacetone). esp. in the case when a styrene-(meth)acrylic resin having an acid value of 10 or higher is used. A chelating agent is pref. as the compd. capable of bonding to a metal, examples being a lower hydroxycarboxylic acid liq. at room temp. (e. g. lactic acid), acetylene alcohols, andβ-diketone compds. An acrylic resin having an acid value is used as the resin. 100 pts.wt. resin is mixed with 10-500 pts.wt. pigment.
|
