PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new polynucleotide for diagnosis, treatment, etc., of inflammation, autoimmune diseases, infection, ischemia, AIDS, cancer, arteriosclerosis, etc., having high identity to sequence encoding FRAZZLED polypeptide having a specific amino acid sequence. SOLUTION: This new isolated polynucleotide comprises a nucleotide sequence having at least 80% identity over the whole length to a nucleotide sequence encoding FRAZZLELED polypeptide having amino acid sequence represented by the formula and encoding polypeptide having activity of FRAZZLED polypeptide or a nucleotide complementary to the nucleotide sequence and is useful for treatment, diagnosis, etc., of chronic and acute inflammation, arthritis, septicemia, autoimmune diseases, rejection symptoms to implanted tissue fragment, infection, apoplexy, ischemia, acute respiratory disease syndrome, renal damage, relapsed constriction, AIDS, bone diseases, cancer, arteriosclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, etc. |
