<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control generation of gas from a gas generation means according to the weight of an occupant sitting on a seat by providing a load sensor detecting all the load applied to a seat main body from the occupant sitting on the seat main body constituted of a seat cushion and a seat back. SOLUTION: Load sensors 8, 9 are provided between a rail 5 and rail mount brackets 6, 7. In a controller of an air bag device, a collision detection signal from a collision sensor is inputted and load detection signals from the load sensors 8, 9 are inputted. When the collision sensor detects a collision, the controller determines the operating number of inflator according to the weight of a sitting occupant determined from the detection signals from the load sensors 8, 9 and transmits signals to a air bag device. In the air bag device, inflators of the designated number are operated and the air bag device expands. Thus, the protection of the occupant according to the weight is possible.</p> |
