PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device in which a tilt correction against the warpage of an optical disk is quickened and stabilized, and power consumption is reduced. SOLUTION: This optical disk device has a head carrier part 3 moving an optical head 2 in the radial direction of an optical disk 1 while holding it, a guide part 4 guiding the part 3, an inclination setting mechanism for guide part 5 setting the inclination of the head carrier part 3 arbitrarily with the guide part 4, a tilt sensor 11 detecting the tilt quantity of the optical disk 1 by being loaded on the head carrier 3 and a control part for tilt correction 12 maintaining the optical axis of the optical head 2 in an optimal state by setting the guide part 4 in a prescribed angle according to the detected tilt quantity. Then, a mean value of tilts is calculated preliminarily by measuring tilt changes of the radial direction of the optical disk 1 and next an inclination corresponding to the average tilt quantity is set in the guide part 4 to set the optical axis of the optical head 2 in a state roughly vertical with respect to the optical disk 1. |
