PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a handle of an outboard engine in such structure as to protect a head part positively during storage of the outboard engine and to facilitate handling such as conveyance of the outboard engine. SOLUTION: A head part of an outboard engine 100 is provided with a handle formed in annular shape almost over the whole periphery of an outer peripheral part of a cowling 9 covering the head part. This annular handle is composed of a front handle 5 forming the front half of the outer peripheral part of the cowling 9, and a rear handle 6 forming the rear half of the outer peripheral part of the cowling 9. The front handle 5 is so constituted that its base part is connected to both side parts of the head part of the outboard engine and that a grip part 50 is positioned on the front side of the outboard engine and almost on the same horizontal plane as a center-of-gravity position 101 in its vertical attitude. A choke lever and stop switch are fitted to the front handle 5. |
