CHARGEABLE/DISCHARGEABLE BATTERY AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chargeable/dischargeable battery excellent in low- temperature discharge characteristics and excellent in large-current charging/ discharging characteristics. SOLUTION: This battery comprises a negative electrode 1, positive electrode 2, separator 3 and electrolytic solution. At least one of the negative electrode 1 and the positive electrode 2 is a fiber body composed of an olefinic polymer and an electrode-forming material, and this fiber body is made by orienting gel-like filaments obtained by mixing powder of the electrode-forming material in a gel solution of the olefinic polymer using a saturated hydrocarbon-based organic solvent.
