摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of enhancing image quality and saving energy by applying layer structure of two or more layers to a transfer belt and dividing a rear surface layer into plural parts with grooves. SOLUTION: The transfer belt 3 consists of two layers of a front surface layer 7 on the side of a photoreceptor 2 and the rear surface layer 8 on the side opposite to the photoreceptor 2 and the rear surface layer 8 is divided into the plural parts by the grooves 9 in a direction nearly perpendicular to the carrying direction of the transfer belt 3. When the belt 3 is carried to the photoreceptor 2, in a state where a transfer paper is placed on the front surface layer 7, a transfer voltage is imparted to the rear surface layer 8 by a transfer voltage applying part 4, after destaticization by a grounding part 5 is executed. In the transfer voltage imparted to the rear surface layer 8, the unnecessary spreading of a transfer potential and charge can be suppressed because the rear surface layer 8 is divided into the plural parts by the grooves 9 in the direction nearly perpendicular to the carrying direction of the belt 3. Thus, the deterioration of an image caused by the generation of transfer dust is suppressed to enhance the image quality.</p>
