POWDER RESIN COMPOSITION AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a coating film having a grain pattern without detriment to film-forming properties and adhesion to substrates from a powder resin composition. SOLUTION: A thermoplastic resin powder (A) (e.g. polyamide resin powder) having a means particle diameter Rr of 10-300μm is mixed with a powdery organic substance (B) (e.g. melamine phosphate) having a means particle diameter Ra of 0.1-10μm to prepare a powder resin composition. Substance B has a means particle diameter smaller than that of powder A and has a ratio between the means particle diameters Rr/Ra of about 10-500. The rate of the substance B is about 1-25 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. powder A. The resin composition is useful as a resin composition for powder coating materials and which can form a coating film on which a grain pattern is effectively formed on a substrate when applied thereto by fluidized dipping.
