PROPYLENE POLYMER COMPOSITION AND FILM THEREFROM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a well-balanced propylene polymer composition that retains high film stiffness and film impact properties, as attaining further improved heat-sealing properties, film therefrom and film for food packaging. SOLUTION: This propylene polymer composition is prepared by adding (A) >=10 ppm of a nucleating agent to (B) a propylene polymer that is a propylene homopolymer formed by using a metallocene catalyst, has isotactic pentad fraction (mmmm fraction) of 80-99%, molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of <=3.5, and intrinsic viscosity [η] of 0.5-5.0 dl/g where the tensile elasticity in the MD direction (TM in MPa) and the heat-sealing temperature (HST in deg.C) satisfy the following formula: TM>=22×HST-1850 The film particularly the film for packaging food products comprising this propylene polymer composition are formed by the casting process.
