PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous dispersion nonproblematic in dispersibility in an aqueous medium and adsorbability by a substrate, etc., and capable of imparting excellent surface smoothness. SOLUTION: This dispersion mainly consists of 30-80 wt.% cured spherical silicone rubber product containing at least 70 mol.%, -(R2 SiOunits (R is a substituted or unsubstituted 1-20C monovalent hydrocarbon group) and having a mean particle diameter of 0.1-100μm, 0.1-10 wt.% cationic emulsifier represented by the formula: R<1> 4 N<+> .X<-> (at least one of R<1> s is an 8-28C alkyl or alkenyl; the rest are benzyl groups or 1-5C alkyls; and X<-> is a halide ion, a nitrate ion or an organic anion) and 10-69.9 wt.% water.
