PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new polynucleotide having a high identicalness to a nucleic acid encoding a histidine kinase polypeptide having a specific amino acid sequence and useful for the production of an anti-microorganism agent against a Staphylococcus infection, useful for a vaccine, a diagnostic agent, etc. SOLUTION: This new isolated polynucleotide comprises a polynucleotide having at least 70% identicalness to a polynucleotide encoding a histidine kinase polypeptide having an amino acid sequence expressed by the formula and is useful for an anti-microorganism agent against an infection by a Staphylococcus such as Staphylococcus aureus strain, useful for a vaccine, a diagnostic test, etc. The isolated polynucleotide is obtained by screening a cDNA library of clones of chromosomal DNA's of Staphylococcus aureus WCVH29 by using a radio-labeled oligo-nucleotide obtained from a partial sequence thereof as a probe. |
