PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and its adjustment method by which time is efficiently used and also where stable original reading is made possible by performing the readjustment of a reader part by using the time when the density detection control of a printer engine is performed. SOLUTION: An engine controlling part 2002 detects continuous standstill time in a standby state, the number of ejected paper, the number of image forming sheets and the change of an environmental condition such as the input value of a density sensor or the like. Then, a device judges whether the readjustment of the environmental condition is required or not at the point of time when the change of the environmental condition is detected, and the readjustment of the environmental condition is executed in the case that the readjustment of the environmental condition is required. A reader controller 106 and a printer controller 2103 detect whether it is in the middle of the execution of the readjustment of the environmental condition or not, and the reader controller 106 executes the readjustment of the reader part in the case of detecting that it is in the middle of the execution of the readjustment of the environmental condition. |
