PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain two-way communication by reducing external noise confluent on an incoming signal of a two-way CATV network. SOLUTION: In a two-way CATV network, where an outgoing signal f2 from a center equipment Q1 via a trunk line L1 to a terminal equipment BQ1 is sent in an outgoing signal transmission frequency band, an incoming signal f1 for the transmission frequency band that differs from the transmission frequency band of the outgoing signal is sent from the terminal equipment to the center equipment via the trunk line, a confluent noise reduction device is provided between the trunk line and the terminal equipment. In this case, the terminal equipment is provided with a primary conversion section 1 which is an up-converter that converts an incoming signal transmission frequency of an incoming signal from the terminal equipment into a frequency band exceeding an outgoing signal transmission frequency band and transmits the signal and with a secondary conversion section 2 which is a down-converter that converts a signal f11 from the primary conversion section into a transmission frequency band of the incoming signal to be sent to the trunk line and transmits the incoming signal to the trunk line. |
