PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a drive roller and a sand belt from being mutually slipped by providing a pressing roller in the outside of the drive roller, and pressing it into contact with a polishing belt with an optional pressure through a spring or hydraulic cylinder. SOLUTION: When the tensile force of a polishing belt 11 can be obtained only by the upward rocking force of a guide roller 4 by a weight 10, a rotating operation handle 21 is operated to displace a screw 20 in an arrowed direction f1 by a proper dimension, and an arm frame member 16 is rocked outward to lay a pressing roller 15 in the state never pressing the abrasive belt 11. A drive roller 2 is rotated in this state to circumferentially move the polishing belt 11, and after a work is situated on a work support base 12, the polishing belt 11 is pushed down with a proper operating force by a proper pressing tool and pressed onto the surface to be polished of the work. The polishing belt 11 is circumferentially moved by the drive roller 2 without being slipped between itself and the roller 2, and the surface to be polished of the work can be smoothly polished. |
