PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-line valve of side entry constitution which can be used for a liquid charge device to decrease fatigue damage of a part, facilitate internal cleaning and maintenance, and reduce fluid resistance. SOLUTION: In a valve main unit 14 of this in-line lever actuator valve 10, an inlet 34, outlet 36 and an intermediate flow chamber of these inlet/outlet are provided. A plunger, lever arm and a cone member 16 having a cone shield are inserted in the valve main unit from a cone opening 50 in a side surface of the valve main unit 14, this plunger opens/closes the inlet, this cone shield seals the cone opening 50. This cone shield, around the lever arm, relating to a vertical plane in a vertical shaft thereof, is mounted at an angle about half a turn angle for valve opening/closing of the cone member, consequently, stress received by this shield is considerably small, accordingly, fatigue damage is decreased. In this valve, the cone member 16 is of side entry, so that fluid resistance is small and the valve can be used for both inlet side of a charge pump and outlet side of the pump.
