PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tape which exhibits sufficient flame-retardant effects even when it does not contain red phosphorus, etc., and which does not generate a halogen or phosphine gas by forming, on a substrate, a self-adhesive layer which contains ammonium polyphosphate having a max. particle size of up to a specified percentage of the thickness of the self-adhesive layer and a specific surface area of a specified value or higher. SOLUTION: Ammonium polyphosphate having a max. particle size of up to 300 % of the thickness of the self-adhesive layer and a specific surface area of 7,500 cm<2> /cm<3> is incorporated into the self-adhesive layer. The max. particle size is pref. 100μm or lower. The amt. of ammonium polyphosphate incorporated is usually 10-100 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. base polymer (e.g. an acrylic resin or a rubber-base resin). Pref., the self-adhesive layer has an oxygen index (as a guideline of flame retardance) of 21 or higher, does not contain a halogenous flame retardant, and has a halogen ion content of 10 ppm or lower. This tape is used for adhesion fixing electronic parts.
