The byte number outputted at this point is subtracted from a byte number of the previous PES length and the rest of the PES length is detected, a stuffing byte subtracting a byte number of the present PES length from the 184 bytes is inserted and the rest of a picture PES is outputted from the multiplex buffer 104. Then it advances to the subsequent processing of the packetized elementary stream.
