摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cooling efficiency of a wheel side engine. SOLUTION: A wheel side engine is composed by curving spokes 17 composing a rear wheel in a protruding manner towards one side and the engine is arranged to stow it in the curved recessed part. The surface of the spokes 17 has fan arranging spaces 34 formed all around it along the inner circumferential side of a rim 18 and a cooling fan 40 is provided in the fan arranging space 34 in a concentric circle. The cooling fans 40 are equipped with fins 41 arranged at specific intervals radially in the multicircumferential direction and doughnut plate-like top plates 42 covering the lateral of the fins 41, while the fan arranging spaces 34 have their inner circumferential sides closed and the outer circumferential sides opened. Fins 41 are curved protuberantly towards the rotating direction A and by forming communication holes 35, communicating through inside and outside of the spoke outer circumference, in the position on the inner circumferential side inside each partition partitioned by the fins 41, cooling wind (w) is formed to flow from the engine side to the outside in the radius direction of the cooling fans 40 through the communicating holes 35.
