PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable detailed information to be superposingly displayed clearly on a map without impairing predisplayed information by displaying the information while selecting a display area which is not overlapped with predisplayed important information from plural areas adjacent to the display object of information. SOLUTION: Display of a present position, detailed information of department stores and regulation information exist as predisplayed information and detailed information of a department store existing at the position separated from respective predisplayed information are obtained to be displayed. The corresponding position is adjacent to the position of the department store whose detailed information is displayed as shown with oblique lines in the figure and when detailed information is wanted to be shown newly, there is a fear impairing the predisplayed detailed information. Then, an area dividing part divides a prescribed area around the corresponding position into plural areas and an information interruption monitoring part monitors whether the plural areas are overlapped with the predisplayed information or not by successively scanning the plural areas. Since the predisplayed information exists in this case, the monitoring part compares significance of this information with that of information to be proposed newly and when the significance of the predisplayed information is higher, the new detailed information is displayed on other area. |
